Bonet, Jordi

Jordi Bonet was born the 7th of May 1932 in Barcelona. He completed his studied at Barcelona school of fine arts, and then moved to Montreal in 1955 were he studied ceramic at Jean Cartier studio and at the institute of fine arts of Montreal. From 1955 to 1981, he held 19 major expositions. He made many monumental works that are in many cities, in Montreal, Québec, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Japan, South Arabia. Member of the Academy of Royal arts of Canada, in 1965 he received the Allied Arts Award from the Royal Architecture Intitute of Canada. In 1963 and 1965 he also received the first prize of sculpture of Hadassah. Jordi Bonet died on the 25yh of December 1979.
