Patricia Bourque was born in Montreal in 1945. Although she was always drawn, she first started to paint seriously about six years ago. Her first medium was watercolour. Three years ago, she began working un egg tempera. she has had no formal education or teachers. and worked hard to develop her style and technique on her own. Her subject are varied - landscape, people, still lifes, but they are all subjects that she is familiar with and feels close to. One of her favoritesubjects is horses - she at one time owned her own horse and taught riding dor thirteen years. She participated in a group exhibition at the Royal Bank in the Town of Mount Royal about five years ago. This was her first solo exhibition.
