Durocher, Renée

Born in Granby, Québec, in 1939, Renée du Rocher attended the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal from 1958 to 1960. Then she obtained her degrees in plastic arts at the UQAM (Quebec University in Montreal). As a modern figurative painter, Renée du Rocher took part to many exhibitions in Canada and the United States, in cities such as Toronto, New York and Montreal (Place des Arts). Many of her paintings are in important collections such as Alcan and Lavalin. Renée du Rocher’s paintings are a dialogue between life and art. They vibrate with an intensity due to the splendor of her palette.
