Born in Montreal in 1972, Lydia Malinowski graduated in Fine Arts from Concordia University ( Montreal) after completing a college degree in Fine Arts at Cégep Sainte-Foy (Quebec City) .

Although she has previously worked with acrylics and photography, for the past years Lydia has been using mainly watercolors and collages of Japanese paper (washi) finding in this medium a never ending pleasure.

She will tell you that seeing selected colors blending and working with the magic of water is a true fascination.

Lydia works in abstract and figurative. The bond between the two is in her gestural strokes expressing life, joy and serenity along with her unconventional use of watercolors.
