Masson, Henri

Born in Namur in 1907, Henry Masson studied at the Athénée Royale, Brussels. After coming to Ottawa, Ontario in 1921, he continued his studies under George Rowles at the Ottawa Art Association and at the Ottawa Art Club.

Trough his celebrated career, Henri Masson has painted the regions and people of Canada in a unique and poignant way. Landscapes, musical scenes, still life and marine scenes take on another aspect seen through the eye of the artist. Internationally renowned artist, he has exhibited his work in many museums around the world.
