Born in 1908 at St-Eitenne-de-Lauzon, Albert Rousseau inscribed himself at the School of fine Arts. At the age of seventeen he obtains a diploma in 1931. To make a living, he works in a hotel and continues some research on different techniques and materiality that he uses to paint.In 1948, he reserves a first prize at the Salon du Printemps. In the sixties, he teaches painting in diverse institutions in Québec and creates a studio at Saint-Etienne. In 1970, Rousseau is the owner of a mill. He renovates it and makes a place of exposition and a place to meet with other painters and amateurs coming from different region of Quebec and Others. It is named Le Moulin des Arts.His career is punctuated of numerous expositions all around Canada, New-York and Paris. We find some of his work in collections of many museums also in numerous art gallery’s, public and private collections. His whole life was dedicated to art. He died on the march the 18th, 1982.
