De Grâce, Nérée

Nérée de Grâce was born in 1920 at Shippagan, New-Brunswick. He received his diploma from the School of Fine Arts of Quebec, in 1948.

In 1949, he opened an advertising and graphic art atelier. from 1955, he devoted a major part of his hobbies to painting. In 1978, he exhibited at the Charles Huot Gallery of Quebec. In 1980, he took part to a travelling exhibition in 12 cities of New-Brunswick. The following year, he participated to travelling exhibitions in five towns of Quebec and throughout Canada, within the theme "Visages de mon pays". In 1982, he exhibited at the Dresdnere Gallery of Toronto and at the La Murée Gallery of Montreal. From 1983 to 1986, we can admire his works at the l'Art Français Gallery of Montreal, the Michel de Kerdour Gallery of Quebec, the Michel-Ange Gallery of Montreal, as well as at the exhibitions "d'art naïf" of the Sherbrooke Museum and of the Ile de France Museum. In 1989 - 1990, a travelling exhibition of his works will cross Acadia.
