Monette, Roger

Roger Monette, member of the Institute of Figurative Arts, was born in Montreal in 1949.  He holds a certificate in painting and a bachelor in Art History from the University of Quebec in Montreal.  Since 1975, he has held many solo exhibitions throughout  Quebec. Winner of the 1st prize at the 9th Symposium in kamouraska in 2002, he has also obtained the honourable mention at the 2000 Figurative Exhibition at the Laurier Museum in Victoriaville.   In keeping a suggestive dimension, his painting with both suave and intense colors, transcends the anecdote and reflects a subtle force sustained by the sensivity of his touch.
