Louise Calvé was born in Montreal in 1937. After having obtained a diploma in painting at Montreal’s school of fine arts, she pursued her studies in lithography in the studios of Desjobert in Paris.

Her painting is characterized by a celebration of color. Her work is a devoted to nature and is united by abstract and figurative expression.

Louise Calvé has been exposing since 1960. She has made many group and solo expositions. Her acrylics are found in many collections in Canada, in the U-S and in Europe.
