Lemire, Madeleine
Born in Oka (Québec, Canada) in 1940, Madeleine Lemire obtained a bachelor's degree in education from the Sherbrooke University before studying the Arts history in Paris at the "École du Louvre" in 1965. Back in Montreal, she studied advertising art at the Montreal Academy of Arts, watercolour at McGill University and painting at the Saidye-Bronfman Center. In 1987, she studied with Ghitta Caiserman-Roth and took etching classes with David Shapiro.She takes part in many exhibitions in Canada, Sweden and France where she received the second prize at the "Concours généraux de dessins" organized by the city of Paris in 1966.
Madeleine Lemire's works are included in major private and public collections such as the Collection Cascades, General Electric
Pratt & Whitney Canada, etc....
